Kind of amazing how you keep seeing and presenting this anew.  This is one of my favorites. I think the mound hiding part of the church contributes significantly to this piece of art.  The patch of grass breaking the expanse of snow is ....just perfect.  Excellent work, Laurent.  This rates a 7 in my book.

Wayne,

Thank you for the kind appreciation and generous rating. The grainy surface is from the snow's freshly passing through the snow blower which built up the mounts and raised the accumulation against the picket fence. To get this shot,I got low in the ditch and adjusted my POV so the top of the picket fence stayed visible enough to lead the eyes to the church,my pet and often looked at subject as you note.Glad you like!

Laurent,  What an impressive image - the leading line of the fence - the grain in the foreground snow - the smooth texture of sky, and of course, the church.  It's a very peaceful scene with soft light and a clear message - at least for me.   Sam

Hi Sam,

Thank you for looking in and for the kind appreciation. This little church is one of my favourite subjects and I have shot it in all seasons and from every angle....and keep looking at it everytime I go by especially if the sky is good.
