It made me laugh out loud, Michael--I like it a lot. I'm particularly enjoying your use of different scales to throw off the symmetry slightly, and your use of color to both animate the being and to introduce a sense of reverence. And the closer I look, the more different manifestations of the being I see, from cats, to owls, to insects, to stained-glass windows and crowns. If I were the lake, I'd be feeling very protected indeed, and if I weren't the lake, I'd sure think twice about fishing there.
