Oh no, I'm so sorry for all of you.  These sweet, gentle souls burrow their way into our hearts and when they leave, they take a piece of us with them... Mike

Oh, Laurent, we are so sorry. One gets so attached to a companion, making it so hard to lose them, even though  one knows that they will not outlive us, the loss still hurts. Our sympathy to you and your family.

I always will remember Caramelle with her joy for snow and lot of photos you did with a faithful friend, her splendid fur color and pleasure she had in walks with you in winter time.To have in mind the best moments with her she was a special friend for sure.

Sweet as her name. I wish that your pain turns to a warm memories soon.

Please don't stop sharing your moments with us Laurent.

Mike,

Thank you so much.Barely six months old,Caramelle knocked on our door exactly 10 years ago to the day after having been abandoned on our isolated country road in a blistering -25C cold.We gave her some of our cat's food, water and invited her in.She stayed and gave us a full decade of pure enjoyment, not forgetting that she was there as my companion on practically all of my photo outings.Think she will be missed?

Salutations-Laurent

Greg and Verena,

Thank you kindly.Earlier in the evening,Monique and I took Caramelle for our after-dinner walk and it was snowing,a big no wind/fluffy snow.Caramelle didn't want to come back in and just wanted to be in the snow much like in this image.Just as we turned in for the night,Caramelle asked out for one last spin in the snow; she got out, rolled over in the snow once and went...heart failure I guess. Our consolation is that she never suffered.

Konstantin,

Thank you.We also called her little fox sometimes for that stare...except that the comparison ended there as soon as we looked at her short legs and stocky body.

Wonderful image Laurent but seen the three down letters... really have just killed me.

I have no words sorry just tears. So hard to find this suddenly.

I hope she has no suffered. So sorry.

I hope now she can find a moment to say hello to my beloved puppy Trufa and Bruno. I am sure they three will play together.

My condolences to you Laurent. Very sad. So sad. Wait for us there gentle Caramelle while we miss you.

I am sorry, I do not feel like struggling anymore with my English...

Marta Eva.

Caramelle's knocking on our door after being abandoned turned out to be 10 years of pure joy for Monique and I.She was a playful and very gentle addition to our family and as you well know,a faithful companion on all my photo outings...plus being a good model.

I assure you,she left without suffering;on this last night,we had gone out for our family walk after dinner while her favorite snow was falling .Just before retiring for the night, she asked to go out and roll in the snow as usual....and she just passed out....peacefully/suddenly under my eyes. She did not suffer;I hope she finds your little departed friends in Puppy Heaven

I thank you,not only for the very comforting words but for being by far Caramelle's best friend for these years on PN and for supporting my photo efforts.

Merci et salutations amicales-Laurent
