The Fly - (enlarge)

To me, Flies are very Ugly, Dirty, and Disease Ridden Insects - yet I

am fascinated with them. This is an older shot that I changed up the

crop and added a few Overlays, Light Hazes and Blend Modes. It is

of course a Digital Alteration. I keep thinking this is a Bot Fly but am

not quite sure. Thanks for any info or suggestions :) Gail

You have the focus spot on! And the detail is very well illustrated here.

Yes some of natures creatures are not very attractive, but considering what they have to clean up, who would want the job of a fly :)

yes you are right - I forgot that these insects also help pollinate our flowers/plants and they are the ones that consume the most 'gross' matter that is left on our planet and everyday surroundings.  Thanks so much for your thoughts shared my friend.

Wonderful composition featuring the lowly fly. Yet what seems like a pestilence to us is sustenance to spiders, geckos, and many others. They have their place in the scheme of things!

Well, I'm definitely NOT "fascinated" with them! Especially as an African, I could do with less flies! Nonetheless, a great image!

I don't like flies much either.......but they can be interesting to photograph....appreciate your kind input!!
