Larger view available. This is an old transparency image from 2003 from

which I had made a tiny scan. I revisited it to improve it in today's editing

software. Your comments are appreciated. Thanks. Larry

It looks real good Larry. Lighthouses are one of my favorite subjects and I like the pov for this one. I wonder if there are any different angles to see from, I realize many of these places limit where you can go, would love to see the full building image, but understand if there aren't any.

Best Regards, Holger

Great work, Larry--and a reworked scan at that.  This is one reason that I don't throw very much away--I expect to get better at processing.

Holger and Eystein,   From what I recall, short of getting in the water, this may have been one of the only available angles.  You are right about the angle though;  I'd say the same thi9ng you did.  But then, this was taken 13 years ago.  We've all learned a lot since then.  Thanks for the visit and comments.

Lannie,  Who knows when we'll revisit old images.  I just happened on this one.  I do learn from re-editing old shots.  Thanks for the visit and comment.

It is nice to bring out the oldies.   I have a whole bunch of slides and my Canon fs4001 35mm film scanner is on the fritz, Do I get a new scanner or be more disciplined, select only the ones I want to preserve electronically and send them out for professional scanning.

All the best

Tony,  I think part of yor answer is in the size of the scans you are seeking.  When my images of Newfoundland were taken, 2003, the scans I had made from slides were way too small to render decent images.  Your question also relates to how much you would spend on a scanner.  I might be super selective and have a good vendor make you large scans.   Larry
