This has a old time film feel. It reminds me of one of my favorite movie genres film noir, with the dark shadows and stark highlights. Very well captured this great building is reminiscent of old theatres here in the states. I'm talking theatres from the 1930s' and 40s'. Thanks for your recent excellent comment on my image winding waters. I'm in the same boat as you as I recently sold all my canon equipment and opted for the lighter olympus and panasonic cameras. I should have clarified what I wanted you to compare but you took care of that beautifully. Thanks again Gerald.

Best Regards, Holger

Hi Holger, thanks for your comments.

This cinema holds memories for me, as a child I and my friends used to attend Saturday morning matinees. Cartoons, Laurel and Hardy and Buster Crabb as Flash Gordon are names that come to mind.

I wish someone could find a suitable use for the building and keep the iconic facade.

GC.
