Very nice composition. I really like the way the eye is capture by the root, moves to its shadow and then continues along the line to arrive to the bushes and then the tree. You can almost feel the water/life flowing from one to the other. 

A bit more texture/contrast on the sand (middleground) and root on the foreground would have made for an even stronger picture as it would have enabled the viewer to appreciate some of the textured nuances captured by the picture.That's a really minor point though - and a matter of personal state - so not a downside at all to this very nice shot !
