I think the colors were even more intense than what I have represented here. I was in my son's driveway, looked up to the sky and desperately felt the need to be down at my riverside park. Timing was not good to get there so I managed to find this tree between houses and took a couple of shots.

Exquisite colours! .....How many times I've looked at the sky and thought I'm in the wrong place!

Great opportunist shot Tony...I love it!

I love the stark silhouette of the tree and backed by the unbelievable colors combines to make a gorgeous image. Has an artistic feel as well. Tony you may have felt a little frustrated not getting to riverside but you've turned out a very beautiful photograph.

Excellent work, Tony!!!  I agree with all the other comments and would like to add one more.

Besides the obvious great colors and detail, I was struck by the branches on the lower left.  IMO they give a needed balance to the shot.  Furthermore, about half way up (on the left tree) there is a point at which the two trees are joined by two opposite branches "reaching " to touch.  Below that the trees appear to be reaching again but not quite touching.

Sorry for the unusual critique, but this is a very moving image to me.

Going into my Favorites.

Thanks for sharing...
