pemongillo 0 Posted November 7, 2016 Photographed with 4x5 somewhere in Nepal in 2000. Never could get this to look right in the darkroom, but the scan looks good. Comments? Click for a larger view. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 7, 2016 Old Vladimir has a lot to cry about these days; the revolution hasn't gone in quite the direction he envisioned. The picture itself seems somewhat in between but interesting to me none the less. The Lenin profile doesn't quite fit with the rounded angular diagonal of the bank but the range of tones and the detail is gorgeous and I love the falling rivulets splashing into the pool and the light on the swirl of water at the bottom.. pemongillo 0 Posted November 7, 2016 Jack, I think you will appreciate this. When I took this photograph, I was completely oblivious to the silhouette of Lenin. It was just a rock. I mean it is just a rock, but its likeness to Lenin escaped me for some time after. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 7, 2016 That's the usual situation for me as well. I often find things of interest only in processing the picture. Link to comment
pemongillo 0 Posted November 8, 2016 I have darkened Lenin's profilea bit. Better ? Worse? Link to comment
MarieH 687 Posted November 12, 2016 Great scene, I wonder what Lenin would think of Donald Trump... Link to comment
