This one was taken while the participants at the Strongman run in

Rovereto - Italy were struggling running over a long, insidious wall

of tires. As soon as I saw the scene I thought about Dante's Inferno

(quoted in the title). Please feel free to comment and critique. Thank

you,

G.

you were so fast commenting :-)

To be honest I envisioned this one in b/w and waited to shoot when the lamp was not covered. As the masters say ... good timing is all. Thank you for your comments and the works you share with us, ciao, G.

You're at it again, Giuseppe, inspiring us with your always strikingly original compositions. What superb and beautifully detailed cut-outs these competitors make, lined up against the sunlit façade of the building. I think this appeals to the child in me. At your age, you're still spinning fascinating fairy tales.

So much for a slow start... You`re back, and with no less exquisite work than before. I am usually not one for captions, Jack`s work is the exemption, and now yours is too.

and critiques and ratings.

A special thank and dedication to Jack who wrote words that I will keep in my heart. And yes, if "at [my] age, [i'm] still spinning fascinating fairy tales", well, I hope my narrative craving will never fail me, because I love wandering through this beautiful, intricate maze called life in search of our next tale.

Ciao and thanks again

G.

I really love the way the title combines with the picture here. It enhances the picture's depth and narrative tremendously.
Would have been great to get someone in one of the windows on the top row or lower the angle to make the shadows larger in the frame but I really love how each of these figures seem to struggle to go over the obstacles on their way - a dante's inferno indeed. Nice shot!

@ Elie: sadly nobody appeared in the windows. As far as the pov is concerned, I couldn't get nearer my struggling subjects, nor - imho - could I lower the camera without distorting a bit too much the perspective. Thanks for the kind words, they are much appreciated.

@Maurizio: glad to meet you again, dear friend. And I see you're still going full steam ! Compliments (BravoMau!)

@Drew: ;-)

What I find interesting is the originality of the idea.  The clarity of the structure for an engaging and open narrative. Eloquent, stylish and inspiring.
