So, Ben Franklin wanted to make the Turkey our national bird, for good reason, I will not list them you can look it up but they are quite the bird.

So I wonder, if the Turkey was made our national bird, would we be eating eagles on Thanksgiving?  Justa thought

Tony, thanks, and you're right about Franklin.  Eagles? Hmm- I dunno - they're meat eaters, so harder to raise in captivity- not that some corp. wouldn't try :)

Mike- thanks- once someone actually did "harvest" one of these and cooked it for us - he was a chef- and they are quite good. We'll stick to our local organic fat turkeys for T-day.
