hstelljes 41 Posted November 5, 2016 A very nice pastoral image Landrum. I like the deep reaching shadows on the right edging towards the cows and eventually engulfing them. A well composed image.Best Regards, Holger Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 6, 2016 Very nice tones in this one, quietly powerful, A good shot, Lannie, another fine image documenting your surroundings. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted November 7, 2016 Thanks, everyone. For me the unsung star here is that shock of tawny-colored broomsedge in the front center of the picture. I have always loved broom sedge, and I don't even know why. I learned to identify it from my father. Perhaps that has something to do with it. BROOMSEDGE --Lannie Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted November 8, 2016 Lannie, It's the fence and the broomsedge that clinch the composition in this image. I might crop out that foreground shadow, but I realize that this is only IMHO. Nice image. Larry Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted November 8, 2016 That's probably a good idea, Larry. Thank you. --Lannie Link to comment

Landrum Kelly 64 Posted November 11, 2016 This lens still lists (after all these years) at almost $1500 at B&H and Amazon. For the record, I got it at substantially less than half-price at KEH.com, and it is as close to perfect as it can be. (It actually does rival the 24-70 f/2.8 on full fame.) This was shot at 1/8000 sec as I drove by at 55-60 mph. As always, I was watching the road ahead, and so as far as I am concerned, God took this picture. (I will take credit for rolling the right passenger window down.) --Lannie Link to comment
