Although I wonder what the original color version looks like, I am very impressed with the b&w conversion.  The sky is a glorious melange of various shades of gray, and the whitecaps in the ocean evidence the windy conditions.  Best of all, the tree - perched on the top; of a rock outcropping, may be seen by some as a sign of solitude or alienation.  I see it as a sign of persistence and strength.

My best,

michael

Hi Michael.  "may be seen by some as a sign of solitude or alienation. I see it as a sign of persistence and strength". You see it  right. I  have a winter  shoot  of  this tree, with a frozen lake  behind  and  the  same time shoot  image, yesterday, in a color  version in my portfolio folders, "COLOR".

Thank you  for  your  nice  comments.

Effective also, especially that wonderful sky. The tree appears to be on an island in this shot. Of the two, I still prefer the color version though this is very good as well.

I wanted  to highlight  the  day and  the  wether, the mood  of  the  day. The color  version  is  an entirely  different composition and mood.

Thank you for your comment, Jack.
