Some beautiful colors as well as good depth Richard. A small crop might eliminate that bright spot in the sky but that might mess with your overall composition, so maybe it's best left alone. Regardless it is a beautiful image and a pleasure to view.

I agree with Holger, Richard. Also, you may want to try cropping out those dead branches in the upper left side by the horizon. My eye is drawn to that rather than the beauty of this well composed and capture image!

I love the depth and the autumnal colours .......just awesome!

You might want to try the graduated filter that can be applied PP in Adobe Lightroom, it may bring back some of the definition to the blown out parts of he sky.

Richard, In your response to the updated version I say bravo, the distraction is gone. Just to be straight up about it, I very much liked the first version as well it's an excellent image to begin with...

Yes, I love the second version, too. You can replace the main image with that. Nice composition and colors, though.
