As they due in Holland Jack, a photographer there, Ruud Albers has many fine examples of bike shots in the streets and otherwise. He was a daily poster but have not seen anything in quite some time....hoping all is well. Meanwhile back in Japan we enjoy your many fine examples of two wheeled transport. Sorry if I went off on a tangent, but your image reminded me of him.

Best Always, Holger

Thanks for the comment. In America, bicycles are something one rides only for recreation and seemingly one must be in complete day-glo, skin-tight uniform including spacey helmet before you are allowed to mount. I hadn't ridden a bicycle for decades before I got to Japan but discovering the convenience and joy of riding absolutely changed my life here. By the way, I've noticed the prolonged disappearance of Ruud as well. I hope he is all right.

Seems owner has lot of care for this bikes and a very good subject for photographer and observer as you are.Life as it is day by day.About Ruud I can tell you he is ok and from a while he renounced to post on PN and just on facebook. For sure his thousands of street shots are amazing and show life with all aspects.

So simple, so appealing. I've been looking into it for some time until i realized that it takes me back to my childhood when i was playing for hours with those miniature iron bicycles.

At least in my area, more and more bikes are being ridden for transportation. Our streets are being transformed with 3rd lanes for the bikers.

As far as RUUD, he signed off a while ago, on to bigger and better things.

The building looks prefabricated, almost surreal, ultra modern and I wonder how it fits into the surrounding environment. The cycles themselves basking in luxury protected from the elements in a land where space is usually at a premium.

Well spotted as usual Jack!

I like the soft processing, it lends a gentle illustrative touch to an image that seems too good to be real.

Wonderful colors, light and composition, Jack. They definitely take care of their bicycles. I noticed an electrical outlet, so it must of been used for something else before. Thanks to your keen observation we have this wonderful image. Best regards, Paul.
