While the surrounding trees have shed most of their leaves, this Aspen

is still flashing its autumn colors.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

I like how the trees seem to arrange themselves into discrete units in this composition which is perfectly weighed. The leaden sky is the perfect foil for these autumn colors.

You have probably acheived the most perfect light here, well lit fall tree and the trunk of the one on the right using a dramatic sky as an impressive backdrop ~

Maybe all this warm colors of autumn are made for us to make us feel good before cold season will come, splendid aspen all in gold, nice contrast with bg cloudy dark.

Hi Jack,

Thank you kindly; I twisted the desaturation button on the sky to enhance the impact of the vivid yellows.

Mike,

Thank you. I remembered you like Aspens which are plentiful in this area;they are the last to shed their colors and are often still around when we get our first snow.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for viewing and for the keen observation. The sun was low and casting long shadows;I took the blue out of the sky to further dramatize the backdrop...glad it worked for you.

Hi Konstantin,

Thank you for the visit,my friend.Low sun....long shadows and the blues have succombed to the negative twist of the  saturation button.
