Kulaniapia Falls

Large view preferred. The east side of the island of Hawaii or the Big Island

is the rainy side. Thus, the landscape is replete with lush green wonders.

Kulaniapia Falls is just out of Hilo. We heard the roar of those spectacular

falls all night from our room at the inn on site. I chose to include this image

rather than the punchier and more saturated HDR because it is more

natural to me. What's your view of this image? Thanks for your comments.

This is perfectly composed in my opinion. The slight haze has a natural feel. almost like mist from the waterfall. What a beautiful place.

This has texture and depth, unlike some HDR.  Thanks for posting this.  Am planning on Hawaii in Dec 2017.  Perhaps I may contact you privately to pick your brain re special places & such?  Regards, Jeff

Jeff,  Thanks for your visit and comment.  I am happy to contribute ideas for your Hawaii top.  We only visited two islands, Hawaii - big island - and Kauai.

Holger,  It's the natural feel that makes the image for me too.  Although the falls is small in relations to the rest of the image, I think it works best in its full surroundings.  Thanks for your astute comment.  Larry
