Saw this fellow on a Dog walk -- went and got the camera. As

expected, he took flight as I approached. Managed to get off five

fast individual hand held shots. The series might be of interest --

cropped only except for the first which is sharpened slightly. C&C

appreciated!

Challenging shot, but nicely done considering the timing you dealt with.  Must have been exciting to see!

Thanks, David.  I rarely get a chance at an Owl, though they are all around and you hear them nearly every night.  This is only the second time with decent light at relatively close range in the last eight years.  I WAS excited!
