Eye to Eye

I just got back from a month in Italy of which 2 weeks was in

Sardinia. While there, I was able to spend a wonderful day in

Cagliari with fellow Photo.net photographer Giangiorgio Crisponi. He

took me around the lagoons of Cagliari and loaned me his incredible

Sigma 300-800 mm telephoto. The lagoons are an impressive treasure

trove of avian wildlife. He is quite lucky to have this sanctuary so

close to his home. In the evening, Giangiorgio and his family

(including his cousin, fellow Photo.net photographer Alberto Loi)

treated my wife and I to a fabulous meal and amiable Sardinian

hospitality. Wow!!! Our 2 weeks in Sardinia was most memorable and it

was really nice to have the Crisponi family start us off with such a

fine experience.
