That's a very beautiful bird that I've never had the pleasure of viewing. You've captured this perfectly. Well composed and a nice blurry background. TFS. By the way that's a very interesting equipment set up. Is the sony body better or different for your purposes?

Thanks Holger! Good to hear from you! Very good question, I would say it's an expensive experiment. I had this a few years back and had thought I can go mirrorless to lighten the load but no such luck since there are many compromises. It's always best to use a setup with same manufacturer to ensure all the handshaking in auto focus work together. I still have all my Canon birdshooting gear since it's still required in the most difficult situation. For the rest of the time, I shoot with Olympus OMD-EM1 + 1.4 + 300mm F4 Zuiko or the Panasonic GX8 + 100-400mm Lumix. Sony does not have any long lenses for mirrorless camera.

I realize that's a hunk of lens but it's still an amazing shot out of that little a6000.  Good work... Mike

Thanks Mr. Mancil! It's not easy to get good shot of Orange Bishop in my experience.  :-)
