Sandy, I like this one the best of the series. It captures a vignette that is essentially and evocatively Western. Any one who has spent any time rambling the back roads will immediately recognize this piece of Americana. For me, it just feels "right", particularly with the snow-capped mountains in the distance. I also like the lines established by the barbed wire, as a counterpoint to the rolling plain, as well as the timeless immediacy and utility of this quintessential artifact of the west. If I were to make any changes, it would be to bring up the light and detail in the shadows, to more fully express the materiality of the wood. Well done, David.
