A nod to Salvador Dali and his painting “Persistence of Memory”. I

see both this seawall and ocean waves fighting for existence while

both melt away into each other as if they exist separately only as a

dream. Comments and critique appreciated.

I'll have to revisit Dali's painting before I can discuss your interpretation.  At this point, I hope you will be content with comments.  The water coming over the sea wall near its left corner seems to have taken on a life of its own.  Little creatures composed entirely of water seem to be the stuff of fantasy.  The color and tonal contrast, being as dramatic as it is, amplifies a viewer's willingness to try understanding the fantasy and to take a journey for which there is no map.

Michael,

Many thanks.  Great interpretation. The loud roar and the splashing forms of the crashing waves brought the whole place alive.  I chose this form of processing to try to "extend" the presence of the water whose forms and characters quickly arose and disappeared.

What I find very interesting  here is how foam is seen after wave flow over wall or what it is.Did you applied a filter for this?

Wayne,

Beautiful creative image with amazing colors & processing.  All it needs is to be blown up & hung on the wall, canvas would be beautiful.  Take care, Patsy

Beautiful creation Wayne. The depth of colour throughout is very pleasing - I like your creation that is derived from an actual image - I like your interpretation.
