thank you very much for your kind comments.

one note: that 'pier' is not a pier in the strict sense of a contraption for landing vessels. it's a construction enabling sand to stay on the beach, & also to trap more sand, during the sand-transporting actions of strong tidal currents.

this shot was taken during one of the lowest low tides of the year: the end of the September 2016 equinoctial tide.
