A man without roots, like a tumbleweed he has come to rest on this corner. The picture doesn't seem at all intrusive, it's well composed and matter of fact. He is an artifact of our society as are we all.

Second Jack's thoughts. There is an almost casual matter-of-factness about him, like he is as disposable as the pillar beside him. The car hurtling by behind him is symbolic of society zipping by him with nary a care.

I really like this homeless photo. Its well caught and the car so close to him is a bonus.  If its done well, its right. This is not an easy subject and one that's often exploited. Fav.

Fast cars, fast food and a fast buck?  His arm hints at extensive tattoos, his nose ring is not cheap, seemingly decent clothes, a backpack and eye glasses that don't look like freebees; I'm suspect of his needs but none of that reduces your excellent work capturing this scene... Mike

Yeah, perhaps a slightly jaded interpretation on my part.  Tony's only clue, other than what is captured in the image is the title, "Street Survivor" which does indicate more background knowledge.  I'm not good at street photography but I do enjoy others who are very talented, Tony included, and the many different ways we the viewers can insert ourselves into the scene, imagine ourselves there and what would we see... Very kind words from all of you. The more I wonder the streets I am starting to see this culture developing. This guy just finished a boat load of Wendy's fast food, grub that other people purchased and brought to him.

I talked to Jeff for around 20 mins, he seemed of sound mind, his thoughts were well collected however in that 20 mins he collected $6 in his cup (around) from passer byes. Don't get me wrong it is a tragedy but $12 an hour and free food, I am starting to re think things, working for corporate America is for chumps... Seriously
