Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted October 14, 2016 Please view large. This is a daytime panorama of the Kilauea caldera on Hawaii's Big Island. The caldera is over 3 miles in diameter and is active continuously. Hawaiians respect and awe Pele, the goddess of volcanoes who constantly both tears down and builds up the island of Hawaii. While lava flows can cause much destruction, the lava pouring into the ocean builds new land. I look forward to your comments and critiques. Larry Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted October 14, 2016 A grand scene. I like how the clouds mimic the caldera below. An excellent shot... Mike Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted October 14, 2016 Mike, Hi. Your observation about the clouds mimicking the caldera is mine as well. I tried out my new Acratech ball head which reverses to prove level pano shots to do this. Thanks for your visit. Larry Link to comment
