This beached log seems to have discovered a source of animation and now appears to be proceeding down the beach. I think I would give it plenty of room if I were you. I love the contrails above the log as well, as if it's being hoisted aloft.

Thank you for the fine observation....really got me thinking how a piece this big got shoved ashore and taken prisoner by the sands in one short tide session.On my next trip over,I'll see if those contrail wrapped themselves tightly enough to jerk the big guy out for the tide to float it back out to sea.
