Wayne Sadler 567 Posted October 9, 2016 These clouds over Ocracoke, off the coast of North Carolina, seemed at once ominous and alluring and coming and going - an oddly beautiful display. Comments and critique appreciated. Link to comment
gregverena 339 Posted October 9, 2016 this is what we find so alluring of the ocean- the vastness of both sea and sky and the marvels of nature displayed in both. Thanks for bringing that feeling back! Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted October 10, 2016 Greg & Verena,Yes, the vastness is nearly spiritual. Once at a very down point in my life, a friend shoved me into her car and drove me to a beach at Marble Head, Mass and left me there with a bottle of wine and some cheese and crackers. I was healed. swede621 0 Posted October 10, 2016 Beautiful scene, Wayne. Very dramatic presentation of the clouds that night. I particularly like the contrast from the very dark of the lower right and the upward diagonal to the upper left. One thought - did you consider a horizontal flip? IMHO that might suit my eye better. In any case, very nice work... Link to comment

michaellinder 16,611 Posted October 13, 2016 The sky is an incredible mosaic of color, tonalities, and - yes - textures. It's almost as if the sky is serving as a guardian of the sea and the shoreline, given the fact that it appears to be quite low. Link to comment
