thanks- the first blooms to come from this plant were all single layer

petals. These later ones are now much more full. Go figure:)

Is superb this dahlia and format chosen fit very well to this,I like soft light and this creates it in a mysterious image.

I like the way the petals are slightly splayed and curled in this one, they seem to catch the light and shadow that much more!

Excellent clarity, the petal swirls creating playful shadows and light as if in a studio.  The more I pay attention the more I realize how remarkable this work.  With a high F/stop, a relatively long exposure time, it seems amazing to accomplish these types of results - no light dispersion that I can see, and a clarity I find difficult to obtain even under the most perfect of conditions.  Maybe this is all signs of a master artist.  Congrats.
