Big-leaf maple 3

I'd much appreciate any comments and suggestions

A composition that is both imaginative and mysterious; nice work Leslie. My only question is did you actually climb the tree to get this wonderful angle, dangling from a moss-draped branch with one arm while you snapped the shot with you free hand?

Imaginative and mysterious like Jack says, but also scary and full with hope at the same time. More like a battle between the forces of darkness and light.

The highlighted leaves are a welcome focal point against the dark diagonal branches whilst the back lit fringe serves to announce their foreboding presence. 

Very well observed and executed!

I love the image of dangling from the tree to get the shot, but it was nowhere near as dramatic--I was on a river terrace and the maple tree was growing on the floodplain below, so I could shoot nearly horizontal against the shadowed foliage on the opposite bank.
