Flamingos landing at dawn - (Phoenicopterus ruber)

I present here two images of flamingos in landing, made in sequence at

the dawn from the top of an hill overlooking the lagoon of Cagliari at

about 1 km distance. Which of the two do you prefer? Thanks for your

No particular reason but I like this one best.  Maybe because of the symmetry of the ripples.  Both are excellent shots... Mike

Beautiful...the water looks great, that golden tone. Does the long shooting distance affect the tone somehow or is it just the location and the right time which makes it so special?

Caro Giangiorgio, this image, like many of yours in the lagoon is spectacular; here perfection of the elements, situation of birds, it seems as if they had been arranged in a Zen garden.

Everything in its most suitable place, gathered all in a subtle and delicate harmony that nothing will break. Therefore, the best to do is what we usually make when we take off our shoes and sat down barefoot, looking in silence the gravel and the whole zen graden.

Needless to say more.

Golden life in laguna so well show by you each time.In this composition I like birds silhouettes and shadows but most of all all those waves circle result on there motion,way are caught in in lines is attractive,and golden water what to say more than is magic.

ps.I contacted you via mail many times  from your page but is impossible because all the time result failure,I have a photo dedicated to you few days ago and really want to see it.All my best my friend.
