Pleasing capture Jamie - what a wonderful way to spend an evening. Nice detail and blur - did you shoot at f1.8 for these shots??

As I mentioned in another response a comment you left, this is waywayway my most expensive lens - Leica calls them 'Summilux.' It's a fantastic aspherical f/1.4! I use it wide open.

For comparison, I took the image called 'fiddling' on which you left the comment:

I like the Grain in this shot - suits it well and is not unpleasant.

with a Canon 50/1.4 from 1957. That image is great, but it has a completely different feel. Thanks. best, j

I haven't saved anything Jamie. I remembered your photo vividly so when i searched your name in all my comments list, there it was, the whole deleted image, fresh and shiny with my comment underneath.
