Drums provide the beat for this dance. The women on the ground (only one is

visible) move the bamboo poles up and down while the two dancers try to

anticipate their moves as jump from side to side over the moving poles. Better

than an xbox.

Hi Jim,

I saw this during my stay in Indonesia;the ladies dancing don't want to miss a beat as those sticks are unforgiving on the ankles.Good colorful action shot!
