Looking at the small image and studying it, I could not associate your title with the image. As soon as I looked at the bigger image I was able to make the connection.  Your title reminds me of a significant set of events in the USA.  On May 4, 1961, a group of 13 African-American and white civil rights activists launched the Freedom Rides and as such were "Freedom Riders".

They made a series of bus trips through the American South to protest segregation in interstate bus terminals. The Freedom Riders, who were recruited by the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), a U.S. civil rights group, departed from Washington, D.C., and attempted to integrate facilities at bus terminals along the way into the Deep South. They were met with considerable violence and I hope the freedom rider here has not suffered a terrible fate.

All the very best,

You are a very good fine observer and here is a result of this.Lot of elements can be seen and think to this, flat stone, those green leaves in left corner, wall pattern and between this a bike. From this each one can think and interpret in own way what feel.

Thanks for your kind attention to this picture. Tony I'm very familiar with the freedom riders of the 1960's push for integration in the American south. I was a college student at the times and followed the struggle closely. I was a little leery of using the title just because of the possible assosciation with such an emotionally charged event. Thanks, Radu. You are certainly a master at composition and color so I take this as a great compliment. Chris, thanks for your continued support.

Right on, Jack!  Thinking of the freedom riders reminds me that their goal still is far off in the future and will be further off, depending on the results of the next Presidential election.

I like the predominance of grayscale tones with the lesser presence of green and orange.
