what the eye sees

I watched as a vendor worked on a painting as he manned his booth at

this African Street Fair. Relaxed, simple forms with accurate

proportions and the world was the same around him. Comments and

critique appreciated.

I like it. Just like a painting. I might have made the colors more contrasty or more vibrant.

Like the subtle colouring and balance, well composed.

Is interesting and eyes catching this your work here.

Thanks.  Your kind comments inspire.  I tend to shy away from bold hues when I paint.  Probably more a statement about my dull personality, but it often feels right when trying to unify a composition giving all elements equal or harmonizing weight.

Many thanks.  Sometimes these images take on a life of their own, as if it was suppose to be seen.  The challenge is understanding and presenting what it is saying.
