Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 20, 2016 This is as natural-looking as I know how to get it. --Lannie Link to comment
gregverena 339 Posted September 20, 2016 We used to have a lot of that, strangely it has mostly disappeared. Nice shot. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted September 23, 2016 I should have asked, how do you find that lens for handholding, it is very heavy??? My Dad had one, I found I had to use a tripod, but I'm just a 'girl' :) beautiful lens!! Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 24, 2016 Well, thank you, guys. "Just a girl," eh? Gail, that lens is not so bad. I have yet to put it on a tripod. The f/2.8 version would be heavy for me to hand-hold (steady) at seventy-one years, but not the f/4. I really do love that lens, even though the IS is ancient. As for sassafras, it can grow into a full-sized tree, but it often pops up as low growth, in which case it can be pulled up by the roots. The roots smell like root beer. I have never tried to boil them to make sassafras tea. The leaves have a variable number of lobes, sort of like the mulberry, but softer. --Lannie Link to comment
