I certainly hope this poor lost beast finds its way out of the woods.  Then again, isn't each of us trying to find a way out of the woods, some of us more than others?

I really like this image. The viewer feels like he is "spying" on the locomotive. Kudos on an excellent image!

I like the idea but not particularly the way you carried it out. The DOF is so short so that the transition from leaves to locomotive is rather abrupt. I think if you had backed it up a bit and given just a bit more definition to the leaves, the picture would have been more effective. But then who the hell cares what I think.

I simply snapped it and walked on.  I can the benefits of doing it either way, depending on the desired effect.  I rather like Jim's interpretation, although I can't say that that was in my mind at the time.
