The Hornbill, for me this creates a link between birds and the dinosaurs, if this bird doesn't convince you, nothing will

I use the same cam when I go digital. You're able to check DOF before shooting or after on the monitor. I would suggest a more shallow DOF to obscure or de-emphasize the cage/zoo environ. Sometimes not possible, but it looks like some distance from the subject to the cage wall behind the Hornbill. Point of focus appears to be the knot on the branch he/she is standing on, rather than the face/eye of the bird. These are just details. The shot is lovely.
