Ah! From your other photos of these, they seemed monumental in size- is this a common practice on your area? Do they mean anything?

Greg and Verena,

This was just a rocky beach until somebody erected the first monument sometimes at the beginning of summer and then everybody wanted to have their own.To get the details of the individual structures,I have to get up close and do a sort of macro shot......and turn them into impressive monuments as you note....."the power of photography"....what?In the INUIT culture, they have their meaning but here they are just makeshift look-alikes based on individual artistic expression.

Salutations-Laurent

Hi George,

Thank you for looking in and for the suggestion.I pondered this when I brought this up in PP and decided to leave that strip of horizon to give some measure of the open sea in front of the Inukshuk beach;cropping it out would also be good as it would bring more of the focus on the rocky monuments.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
