Diagonal parking and with two tiers, they think of everything when it comes to conserving space. Jack you've done the cars and now bikes what's next in this series of space conservation? Well seen as always with a great title.

I would hope that the riders of these bikes hurry back to the parking facility lest they be drowned in that huge wave of urban traffic.

One note on geometry - Most of the elements in this image seem to fit traditional geometric definitions, for example, those of line, angle, circle, radius, etc. However, I see in the upper left what might be considered a sine wave (or perhaps a representation of your heart beating).  Interesting ...

Thanks for the comments. I think he was just rehearsing for his big gig at the Red Sea. Holger, space is everything in Japan (that and proximity to public transportation). They do come up with some creative solutions. Michael, yes I'm glad you saw that. notice the regular rhythm, very important for street photography..

A very creative title to a wonderful image. I like the organization of the bikes and there is one space for yours. Having spent a month in Holland many many moons ago, this is vastly different to the chaotic storage of bikes in their bike parking lots. Of course they have hundreds of bikes and the same thing could happen in your location with comparable numbers.

All the best,

Beautiful set of bikes with lots of variation and extras:) framed in the natural way and structures. Looks like a well guarded place judging from the fact that so much is left there with the bikes?

In many cities in Europe all would be gone in hours, in USA in minutes, depending of the area lol Well, there are many reasons to look up Japan and the japanese way. The dicipline and culture has kept it's form through the time and I hope it stays that way- take care - br Hannu
