A typical classic from Jack! very funny and well composed story. Two proud mothers with their very well behaved children patiently waiting for the rubbish collector.  Full mark!

Oh my God, there is a whole army of these vicious tiny robots, i am begining to worry about their true intentions. Collecting rubbish my @%s...i don't trust them that much.

Really sad to see trademarks of coke and pepsi all over the world though.

Very nice street shot Jack, as always - I have the opportunity to go into town once a month or so and I was having a coffee and needed to throw away my cup, I got confused.

There is a can for plastic bottles, one for cans, one for paper, one for cigarette butts and a can for general trash. I was confused because I put my cigarette butt in my paper coffee cup that still had some liquid in it, 3 different trash, where in the hell does it go?

Their school bus will undoubtedly be a garbage collection vehicle, no wait a minute......The invasion is on....this is great Jack, you have once again put a smile on my face.

Thanks for the comments on this picture. I'm pleased it produced some smiles. I seem to be drawn to these little soft drink machine trash containers. I've photographed them many, many times over the years. Just for my own amusement I think I'll collect all the pictures in a single trashy folder and put it up for viewing as different variations on a theme. Sounds like a plan, at least. As for this picture I've never seen an array of trash cans such as this; the connection to school kids waiting for the bus came naturally..

They could be lining up for the school bus or on a Family Summer Holiday - waiting for the Tour Bus. They are almost representative of all of us - we all carry some kind of 'baggage' or 'trash' around with us. They really do look like robots (R2D2)! I like the vending machines in the shot - seems to reinforce a bit of society and what it consumes - they of course have consumed quite a bit! Love the brilliant colour as well.

Are those the parents standing behind?  As much as I love the little guys, those big guys in the back do command a certain respect.
