Amazing what saltwater combined with iron will do -- attractive. I used to drag bits of a wrecked ship home from the beach as a boy for that very reason.  Leftovers from the war?

These objects provide mute testimony to the humbling power of nature, in this case to erode these pilings(?) so that they may not resemble their original appearance.  That's good for viewers of this image, because the rust provides a visual feast.  I also like how the pilings lead a viewer's eye toward the sea and sky.

My best,

michael

Hi Ken, The dof has created a very artistic image. The sharp detail while greatly appreciated by all photographers is only part of the experience. The blur contributes the other part and is an abstract painting of its own. Well seen and better done.
