bits and pieces to get the tripod / gimbal where I want it just today.

Early Moon rise so I had to try it out. Best 5 of 9. Some tweaking &

cropping. That old lens is amazing. C&C if you will!

Thanks, Mike! I don't do much of it, but a couple of years ago decided I would learn How to do it, at least minimally.  A bit of research, basic equipment and stubbornness are all that is required.  If the skies are clear, in a few days I'll be posting some starscapes (I hope) Best, Sandy

The mood evoked by this glorious full moon against the purply blueness with strange forms that could be human or other living shapes, just keeps me spellbound. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice shot, Sandy. What distinguishes the photo for me are the very faint tints of red on the tree tops, echoing the light of the moon. I guess you often get magnificent nights like this up in the Big Sky Country.

Thanks, Jack!  The light here is very fine, but then, in New Mexico and Arizona as well.  What we enjoy that is different is very little sky glow.  We have few people, a great deal of open land.  No regrets living here! Best, Sandy
