Seeing something like this from you, Paul, is akin to suddenly finding a gazelle walking around my apartment; it's undeniably beautiful and graceful but you can't help but being taken a little by surprise and wondering what it's doing so far from its natural environment. But after the minor shock on seeing your name on this picture, I have to say I like it very much and applaud your latest travels in the (macro) world.

That's funny Jack. I don't have the patients or equipment for photographing more finicky wildlife, so I stick mostly with the little things or more unwary creatures. I did a two night canoe trip down a local river and camped on a gravel bar for two nights. It rained a bunch, but these creatures were everywhere chowing down on this particular plant. Pretty easy photo pickings for me.
