Echinacean Dreams - (enlarge)

Img_5614116_28_07_2016_MACRO - Canon Rebel T4i - Canon EF 100mm F2.8 Macro USM - Aperture and F/Stop: f2.8 - Shutter Speed: 1/4000 sec - Focal Length: 100mm - ISO 200 - Exposure Program: Aperture - Metering Mode: Spot - Flash Did Not Fire - Adobe CS6 - Approximate working distance 2.5 ft. (once again, either stopping down my Aperture or adjusting the ISO would have probably helped with the Shutter Speed - will know better next time!)

This image was taken the same day and at the same Garden Centre

as the previous Bee. I love Echinacea, and find that it is well liked by

so many insects. I had hoped to find a more colourful butterfly - but I

was happy with this one. I entered this under Macro - still not sure

where it will belong on the New Website - I could have used Digital

Alterations because I did add a slight Matt finish on the flower and

background (masked out the Butterfly) and then added a slight

texture to the background.

Hi Gail,

I love the colours and tones and the added texture works beautifully to enhance the image (almost like a print).

Beautiful work!

Congratulations and regards,

Mike

Gail,

This work can only be the work of your eye (to discover it) and your camera (to to freeze it in time). Fragile beauty.

I like how is composed and most of all how interesting visual impact has the center of flower.Still to have lot of flowers in September,is warm and very pleasantly.

I too am a big fan of your composition on this one Gail. It just lets the eye wander off into the bokeh. Just beautiful and so artistic.
