I enjoy looking at your photos (this one is great) but would you mind not posting them in such large batches. Today between your pictures and Sandy Vongries' there was no room for anyone else's. Then I have to go over and unfollow you (did it with Sandy, too) to see the new work by other photographers I follow. I don't really mind doing it that much but it means I have to remember to click Follow This Photographer again and with my aging memory that's no sure thing. I hope you'll take this aa a helpful suggestion and not a complaint because I'm a fan of your work.

Jim, we are amazed of the skills this culture still exhibits, real survival skills. Basic housing, dug out canoes, simple access bridges- no need for so called experts, they know how to take care of their needs. In one picture, we see electric lights, our way of life is making inroads....good or bad? We really enjoy your trip!

Thanks G & V. The Asmat region was rarely visited before the end of WWII as the natives were brutal toward visitors from what I understand. Thus, they are only two to three generations removed from a way of life that survived for centuries. Even now they are isolated but with the internet (even though their access is limited), they see how the rest of the world lives. The rate of change is faster than ever.
