Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 5, 2016 Lannie, I could swear I saw this picture, or one very much like it, some time ago. As with the first, we have a wonderful stage, great "scenery" but the "actors" are kind of swallowed up by it. I think if you had waited until the woman's head was just to the left of the peaked building it would have worked better. Easy enough for me to say from the Monday morning quarterback position behind my keyboard. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 5, 2016 Jack, you saw the version where she was a bit too far across--and I don't have a workable one that does not place her in front of a "busy" background. I processed and posted this one because I was determined to find out if I could use Levels, etc., to bring more clarity out of what was a muddy image. It still is not what I want in that regard--and I don't know how to get it any clearer or more "punchy" without distorting the colors even more. --Lannie Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 5, 2016 As I just wrote on the Facebook version, "With all of the imperfections of this photo, something about it won't let me go. If I knew her, I would hire her as a model and have her push that stroller across the street until I got it right." --Lannie Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 5, 2016 Every city has at least one intersection like this, where several streets converge at more or less the same point for no particular or discernible reason. --Lannie Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 5, 2016 Cityscape, small-town southern style. . . . --Lannie Link to comment
gregverena 339 Posted September 5, 2016 This is kind of intriguing- very small townish with all the lines above- and the wide empty street. Here's one version- see what you think. Let's one see the mother and how she's looking at you. G Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 6, 2016 Thanks for your effort. I'm looking for something less saturated. --Lannie Link to comment
