Jack, you've offered quite a tribute to this school.  Every angle has been different, and every one has had its own mood.  On the surface, this simply looks like a very pleasant place to be--perhaps a private residence in southern California rather than a school in Japan.

Thanks for the comments. My friend Yukihiro and I spent about 90 minutes at this school. There are a lot of deserted buildings in the Japan countryside as the residents age and younger people head for the city. It's a shame there'll never again be the sounds of kids at play echoing from the schoolyard. Just silence.

I happened to find the video of the plastic bag caught in the wind with that beautiful accompanying sound track that you posted on Facebook. Really magical and it certainly would be a source of inspiration to any dedicated choreographer.

Jack, I agree completely with Lannie's comments.  Although your other photographs in this series portrayed the school in your "usual" style, this one trades on its simple, understated design and the surrounding peaceful landscape.

Just like the tree it shed all its leaves and waits for the next spring that will never come. Outstanding epilogue for this photo chapter.

A fitting and sad end to this series with many very good images. I think Lannies' comment summed it up very well and will leave it at that. Really fine work Jack.
