Sandy Vongries 34,463 Posted August 21, 2016 A mysterious and interesting shot, somehow imbued with a feeling of desperate times or wartime. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 21, 2016 Great composition and wonderful tones. You always seem to be able to select a fresh and surprising viewpoint and include a sense of space in your pictures. I especially like the form of the man perfectly framed amidst the ships superstructure and silhouetted against the sky. The lines lead us to the suggestion of people on the pier in the distance carrying us deeper into the picture. Link to comment
Bachir 0 Posted August 22, 2016 Yes agree with Jack. It is an interesting one in terms of construction. There is such height and depth with strong contrast on tones. From the man on the top of the boat, then the ropes down to the pier where a group of people walking along (a part were more light is needed). Still quite a good shot! Link to comment
amysn 0 Posted September 6, 2016 Gorgeous, and I'd say brave in letting things remain dark and shadowed and taking the pretty sky (I suspect it was?) and making it b/w. Really interesting. (And thank you for your comment on my photo, boys and girls, calle o'campo). Link to comment
