I have taken numerous photos of Eagles at this tree from the same

spot, sometimes at length, no problem. This time I arrived, got out of

the car with DF and old 600 5.6, reaching for the tripod and the

Eagle took off. Dropped the tripod, 3 quick hand held shots.

Surprising that you can sort of pan and shoot with a lens this big. Off

a rest, it is almost as good as off a tripod.

Way to go, Sandy!  Next time he'll be even closer.
