Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 19, 2016 It's hard to imagine that rock sofa is a natural formation but even if it is man-made, it certainly fits into the landscape perfectly. I think this would be equally effective in b&w. Link to comment
cegeiss 6 Posted August 20, 2016 This image reflects the cool moist atmosphere of a warm summer day in the forest perfectly. OK, maybe it's just my wishful thinking after too many 90+ degree weeks on the east coast, but it looks very inviting to take a seat. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 20, 2016 Do you have any further information about the rock "sofa"? It certainly is an intriguing feature. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted August 22, 2016 I did some research about the stone bench, and so far could not find any information about its history and construction. I'm not giving up, though. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted August 22, 2016 I thoroughly appreciate your kind words. Actually, since the entire trail leading to the falls from the visitor center is well shaded, as a whole it is a refuge from the heat. The bench does provide additional opportunities to cool off. Link to comment
